The International Conference on Food Security was held in Samarkand on September 7-8. The conference was organized by the Government of Uzbekistan with technical support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. It was attended by agriculture ministers from 15 countries, high-ranking diplomats, and representatives of international scientific and financial organizations, including the management of Semurg Insurance.

Following the conference, the Samarkand Declaration on International Cooperation in Agricultural Development in Uzbekistan was adopted. Specifically, the declaration enshrines the participants' intention to provide state support to small and family farms and expand their access to production, natural, and financial resources, including state support for agricultural risk insurance for clusters and peasant farms in Uzbekistan.

Semurg Insurance Chairman of the Board Georgy Lavrishchev commented on the signing of the Samarkand Declaration: "We are participating in a landmark event that will take Uzbekistan's agricultural sector to a new level. Important initiatives include the introduction of an insurance system that ensures financial stability and further development of the agricultural sector. Semurg Insurance's international and local experts are actively involved in developing this system. We are proud to be able to make a significant contribution to our country's economic growth."
